Your Toes Fun cards teaches color and number recognition
(1-10). Once the child has learned the colors and numbers,
you may want to play the following games.
Beginners:
Match Your Numbers - Begin with the numbered cards 1-5 (add
additional cards as the child progresses). Parent and child
each have a set of cards 1-5. Parents selects the card and
asks the child to match the chosen card. When the match is
made the parent and child shout "It's a match!"
Match Your Toes - Use
the instructions above, this time use the toe cards. Parent
selects a toe card and asks the child to match your toes.
Match Your Toes To Your Numbers
- This time the parent has the numbered cards and the child
has the toe cards. Ask the child to match the toes to the
numbers.
Intermediate:
Select 5 pairs of numbered cards and one pair of shoes or
socks. (Add additional pairs of cards as the child progresses.)
Place the selected cards face down and do a "Bare Foot
Shuffle". (All players move and mix the cards.) Arrange
the cards in three rows of four cards each.
The first player takes a turn by turning over 2 cards. If
the cards match, the player shouts "It's a match!"
The matching pair is removed and placed in front of that player.
The player continues to play until the two exposed cards do
not match. The cards are returned to the origional position.
The next player takes a turn. The game continues until all
pairs are matched. If there is a tie, the player with the
shoes or socks wins.
